Big Bazaar offers insurance to lure consumers

Innovation is the name of the game, as far as luring the consumer to retail stores is concerned. Taking a lead is Big Bazaar, which is offering life insurance cover of Rs 15,000 to all its customers, shopping at its stores during the period of August 13-17, during its annual national sale called the ‘Maha Bachat’ campaign.
What’s more, customers can double the insurance cover by paying an additional amount of Rs 50, according to an official company release. The life insurance policy is powered by Future Generali India Insurance Co. Ltd.
The five day national campaign offers shopping bargains across 97 Big Bazaar stores and 45 stand-alone/ cut-in Food Bazaar stores in the country. Apart from the flagship Big Bazaar and Food Bazaar, all stand-alone formats of Pantaloon Retail such as Furniture Bazaar, Electronics Bazaar, Navaras (the 22 carat branded jewellery shop) and Depot stores will also be part of the mega campaign.
